A New Lie: Planned Parenthood claims Bible is okay with abortion
FREE Catholic Classes
Planned Parenthood continues its unrestrained evil assault against innocent human life in the womb by using errant clergy and twisted arguments, which pretending to be rooted in the Christian tradition, to claim that procured abortion is morally defensible. It is never morally acceptable. It is intrinsically evil. This is not a new tact. The organization has used errant clergy for many years. What is new is the brazen use of a propaganda fundraising letter to attempt to justify their intrinsically evil acts and confuse people. They are a despicable organization.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - There's very little to say except the letter issued by Planned Parenthood to give abortion the appearance of some sort of religious or moral acceptability is a new low for the organization that profits from the murder of unborn children.
Although it is likely that they have in their employ individuals with certifications that allow them to serve as religious ministers and even pastors, it does not change the core doctrine of any faithful Christian church or denomination which universally condemn procured abortion and have done so for two thousand years.
Support a pro-life effort that works!
Let there be absolutely no ambiguity, let us be absolutely clear -The Roman Catholic Church explicitly forbids procured abortion, teaching plainly that life begins at the moment of conception and must be respected and protected throughout the continuum of life up to and including a natural death. All human life is sacred, at every age and stage.
There are no Catholic clergy who sanction this practice. Any clergy who may support this practice does so without the permission of the Church and if revealed will invite tremendous scandal upon themselves.
Procured abortion is properly viewed as the taking of innocent human life murder in every faithful Christian community, period. Do not be deceived.
The text of the letter is reproduced below.
The decision to have an abortion is personal. Though your reasons may be complicated and private, you're not alone. As religious leaders from a number of religious traditions, we're here to
support you in your decision.
Many people wrongly assume that all religious leaders disapprove of abortion. The truth is that abortion is not even mentioned in the Scriptures-Jewish or Christian-and there are clergy and people of faith from all denominations who support women making this complex decision.
The beliefs of each person are deserving of respect, and each person deserves care and compassion. No one should be allowed to force their faith teachings on anyone else.
We believe this decision is yours, made with your doctor and anyone else you choose to bring into the conversation, such as a spouse, partner, parent, or clergy person. .
God loves you and is with you no matter what you decide. You can find strength, understanding, and comfort in that love.
Yes, God always loves you, but He ALSO loves the baby in the womb. That little boy or girl is our neighbor. God forbids the killing of an innocent neighbor.
God who is Love also unequivocally never sanctions the taking of innocent human life. He has explicitly forbidden such behavior.
Those who seek abortion, do so in defiance of the Natural Moral Law and against the clear teaching of the unbroken Christian tradition. They also reject the overwhelming medical scientific facts which confirm the humanity of the child in the womb.
They commit an egregious and intrinsically immoral, evil which has eternal consequences if the perpetrator remains unrepentant. Those organizations which encourage others to do so by calling such an evil act acceptable are despicable.
